Released in '97, Wu-Tang Forever isn’t trying to recreate 36 Chambers—it expands it. After the solo run (Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, Ironman), the group comes back sharper, more confident, and with a much bigger sound.

The production—primarily driven by RZA—leans a bit darker and more layered. Less stripped-down grit, more atmosphere and complexity. The beats feel wider, the verses longer, and the whole thing moves with a different kind of weight.

“Triumph” is the obvious centerpiece—no hook, just bars—but tracks like “Reunited,” “Cash Still Rules,” and “It’s Yourz” carry that same energy across the album. It’s dense, sometimes sprawling, but that is part of the Wu design.

This is also where the Wu universe fully opens up—Cappadonna, Streetlife, and others woven throughout, making it feel bigger than just the Clan.

This 4LP pressing gives the album the space it needs—spread across multiple discs so the production and verses don’t get cramped. Gatefold packaging keeps it in that collector tier.
