This one’s got history behind it.

After nearly 30 years, Sublime are back with Until The Sun Explodes—their first full-length with Jakob Nowell on vocals. There’s no replacing Bradley, but this feels more like continuing the story with his son than trying to redo it.

The sound stays rooted in what made Sublime what it was—reggae, punk, hip-hop, all blended together—but it doesn’t feel stuck. It’s got some new energy, with features from H.R. (Bad Brains), Fletcher Dragge (Pennywise), and G. Love, which keeps things very interesting.

More than anything, this record feels like a new chapter done the right way—aware of the past, but not trying to live in it.

Pressed on blue vinyl, this is one a lot of people are going to be watching when it drops.

If you’ve been around since the early days—or just respect what Sublime built—this one’s worth checking out.
