Metallica hit another level with Master of Puppets. Released in ’86, this is where everything fully comes together—speed, precision, and songwriting all locked in.

It’s heavier, more controlled, and more ambitious than anything they’d done before. The riffs are tighter, the structures are more complex, and the whole album just flows start to finish.

This was also the final Metallica album featuring Cliff Burton, whose presence is all over the record—especially on “Orion,” where his influence really stands out.
