Corrosion of Conformity – America’s Volume Dealer (Indie Exclusive, 2LP), Clear/White Vinyl
By the time America’s Volume Dealer dropped in 2000, Corrosion of Conformity had already evolved way past their hardcore roots—and this record leans fully into that heavy, groove-driven Southern sound.
It’s thick, riff-forward, and stripped of anything unnecessary. Tracks like “Diablo Blvd,” “Doublewide,” and “Take What You Want” don’t rush—they settle into that slow-burn weight C.O.C. perfected in the ‘90s. There’s still punk DNA underneath it, but it’s buried in sludge, blues, and metal.
This also marks the end of an era—the last record with longtime drummer Reed Mullin before his return years later. It’s a late-period release that doesn’t feel like a drop-off—just a different kind of focus.
Back on vinyl again, this indie exclusive pressing brings it on clear/white wax—clean, limited, and not something you’ll see sitting everywhere.
Why this belongs in your collection:
Because this is C.O.C. fully evolved—heavy, patient, and built on riffs that stick.
